What is wireless Mesh technology?
Hotelogy's wireless solution utilises mesh technology. A mesh network is a communication network that consists of a mesh of radio nodes organised into a wireless mesh topology. That in plain English, simply means a collection of specially designed small wireless devices, that are positioned around your hotel in convenient locations, that are aware of each other and work with each other to create a mesh effect for wireless internet coverage.
Increased wireless redundancy
One great advantage of wireless mesh technology is it's awareness of the network and self healing. If one of the mesh nodes goes offline, the rest of the radio nodes will find an alternative route to the gateway and out on to the internet. Once the other radio unit comes back online, it will inform the other nodes it's back online and they can begin routing web traffic through again.
Updates and Patches
All updates and patches to the mesh nodes are taken care of automatically over the internet. You never have to update or install anything. Just plug them in and away they go.
Monitoring
All of the mesh nodes deployed, are constantly monitored by the Hotelogy system. If a node goes offline or there is a problem, you can be notified.
Fully Customisable
The Hotelogy mesh system is fully expandable and can be completely customised. You can add and remove nodes from your network when you wish, but Hotelogy can also customise the start page that is seen when people first logon to your network, to be branded within your hotel's guidelines. Network Security
Each wireless mode, has a built in firewall for maximum protection to intrusion attempts. The mesh network also operates completely independently from your existing network, even if they share the same high speed broadband line.
